Library News
Kindergarten thru 5th grade students have received the materials for the Kane County Cougars Reading Club. This is an 8 week program that will run until March 15. Students who participate will receive a free ticket and goodies to a Kane County Cougar baseball game in May.
I look forward to seeing many students participate.

Angel Week Update!
Final Counts are in! 1st place and the doughnut party goes to 3rd grade Campanelli. They knocked it out of the park and set high standards.
1st- Campanelli 105 items
2nd- Stratton 51 items
3rd- Mallegni 37 items

Riley Viking Award Winners!
Viking award winners for November were Adrian Morquecho 8th grade & Marely Felix 6th grade.
The Riley Board of Education recognized these students for their accomplishments at the December 20, 2023 meeting.

Riley Boys' Basketball RECAP
Thank you to the 7th graders for all their hard work this year. We did not necessarily have the season we wanted, but we made a slight run at the end of the season, and made it to the championship game of the consolation game! We made some strides as a team and everyone got better throughout the season. I am excited to see everyone come back out next year for 8th grade and dominate! All of the kids made my first experience coaching at Riley a memorable one!

Thank you to the 8th graders. This year's basketball season was a fun one. We went 5-5 overall and had some really good wins! We had a great bunch of players on the basketball court this year, and many season highlights, including a fantastic win over Fox River Grove in the regular season - that was a fun game.
A Big thank you to Blake, Dominic, and Ryan for the 3 seasons of basketball they gave! The growth from all the players not just this year, but throughout their middle school years was incredible.
Our season sadly came to an end before we wanted it to, but it wasn’t because of effort. The kids worked hard all year, at each game, and were an absolute joy to coach!
Thank you 8th graders and I wish you the best of luck if you play high school basketball.

Kindergarten Registration
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Friday, February 16, 2024
10:00 AM - 2 PM
At time of registration please bring in your child’s original birth certificate (or official copy from the county where they were born) and two forms of “proof of residency.”
If you have any questions, or are unable to register at the above-mentioned time, please call Riley School.
Kindergarten Kamp
In May, we will be running a Kindergarten Kamp, which will be a mini-view of our daily schedule. This Kamp is for children entering Kindergarten in Fall of 2024 at Riley. This program is optional, requires no registration fee and transportation needs to be provided by the parents.
We will be meeting on May 8, 2024 from 1:00-2:30 p.m.
A parent needs to attend with their child.
